Vanilla-Banana Almond Smoothie

Makes 4 servings, 4 ounces of milk per serving.

Ingredients
2 cups
 
fat free or lowfat milk
1 cup
 
lowfat vanilla yogurt
2
 
large bananas
dash
 
vanilla extract
10
 
crushed almonds
1 cup (more or less as needed)
 
ice cubes
handful
 
fresh mint leaves for garnish

Directions
In a blender container combine all ingredients, except mint. Blend until smooth, about 20 seconds. Pour into glasses and garnish with a fresh mint leaf if desired.

180 calories; 4.5 g fat; 1 g saturated fat; 10 mg cholesterol; 7 g protein; 28 g carbohydrate; 2 g fiber; 85 mg sodium; 200 mg calcium (20% DV).
